Edward C. Kokkelenberg, New York
Edward C. Kokkelenberg is Professor of Economics at nearby Binghamton University (SUNY). He earned his PhD at Northwestern University and MBA from the University of Chicago. His research interests include: applied econometrics and forecasting; national income and product accounts; energy economics; and economics of higher education. While on sabbatical leave at ILR Cornell he is researching higher education in New York State.
He is currently writing a paper on the efficiencies of private higher education in achieving graduation rates, and another on the criteria for estimating potential academic success of new enrollees. He is also participating in the STEM project conducted by Professor Ronald Ehrenberg which is studying the causes of high drop out among Scientific, Technical, Engineering, and Mathematical majors.
