Chiara Strozzi

Chiara Strozzi is a Post-Doc Fellow in Economics at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. She will be Assistant Professor in Economics at the same University from Fall 2004. She has a Phd in Economics at the European University Institute and a Master in Economics at the Bocconi University (curriculum vitae pdf). Her main research interests are macroeconomics and labor economics. Her PhD thesis dealt with the impact of international economic integration on the incentives for trade unions to coordinate their collective bargaining policies across borders. She currently works on the analysis of the cyclical behavior of aggregate real wages in OECD countries, with a specific focus on the comparison between different techniques of measuring short-run comovements and on the assessment of the impact of labor market institutions on real wage cyclicality. Her faculty sponsor at ILR is Professor Lawrence Kahn and she visited from October to November 2004.
