Changwon Lee, South Korea

Changwon Lee

Changwon Lee is a senior research fellow at the Korea Labor Institute. He had been Director of International Cooperation, and also of Research Planning and Coordination at KLI. He received his Ph. D and M.A from the University of Chicago in Sociology. Between 1999 to 2000, he was an Assistant Secretary for Labor Policy in the Office of the President in Korea. His major research interests are industrial relations and social policy and his works have been published in English several times after 2000. In recent, he has focuses on exploring the relations between labor market developments and enterprise-level industrial relations in Korea, and comparing the labor politics models in Korea including collective bargaining and social corporatism since Asian economic crisis. His faculty sponsor at ILR is Dean Harry Katz. Lee is visiting from February 2005-January 2006.
