Risa Lieberwitz Presents Keynote at International Congress in Turkey
ILR Professor Risa Lieberwitz was recently an invited keynote speaker at the International Knowledge, Economy, and Management Congress in Kocaeli, Turkey. Her talk was entitled “Expanding Global Access to Knowledge.” In addition, Lieberwitz presented a paper at a session on Knowledge and Universities entitled, “Universities and Markets: The Ownership of Knowledge.” The Congress was convened by Kocaeli University.
While in Turkey, Lierberwitz was also invited to Istanbul University’s School of Economics, Fatih University, and the Turkish Asian Center for Strategic Studies (TASAM) where she met with colleagues in labor studies and research.
Other presentations were given by ILR Cornell's Byounghoon Kim, PhD ' 97, and Ian Greer, PhD '05, as well as former Visiting Fellows Tuncay Guloglu of Turkey and Eul-Teo Lee of Korea.
