Golden Presents at 12th World Congress on Intellectual Disabilities in Montpellier, France

Thomas Golden, project director of the Work Incentives Support Center in the Employment and Disability Institute, gave a presentation entitled Federal Policy, Choice and Employment: Lessons learned from the U.S. and Ticket to Work Act, at the 12th World Congress on Intellectual Disabilities in Montpellier, France, on June 18.
This session discussed the role of the Ticket to Work and Work Incentives Improvement Act in promoting choice and employment for people in the United States who receive disability benefits. Discussants presented provisions and features of the federal law, their purposes and preliminary data speaking to the success of this policy in achieving its end.
