Dr. Ashrawi is Founder and Executive Committee Chair of the Palestinian Initiative for the Promotion of Global Dialogue and Democracy (MIFTAH), Elected Member of the Palestinian Legislative Council. 

Hanan Ashrawi will deliver a talk on peace in the Middle East as a Foreign Policy Distinguished Speaker on Thursday, September 20, at 4:30 pm, Bailey Hall.  President David Skorton will moderate. 

This event is sponsored by the Department of Near Eastern Studies, Alice Cook House, Office of the Vice Provost for International Relations, and the Mario Einaudi Center for International Studies.

Admission is free and open to the public.
