Cultural Information Meetings
November 9-18, Ithaca Campus
Each semester the Cornell Abroad Student Information Team, a group of returned study abroad students, hold Cultural Information Meetings for students preparing to study abroad. These meetings allow for students to discuss the study abroad experience peer-to-peer, exploring the cultural, social and practical aspects of preparing for and adjusting to life abroad.
This year, the SITeam, in recognition of International Education Week, would like to invite the entire student body, in both nascent and advanced stages of the study abroad process. One or two returned students will open the session by presenting a brief talk on their experience followed with a Q&A with a larger panel.
Please let students know that this is an excellent chance for those just starting to think about study abroad or just curious about life in another country. Area Studies programs have generously provided regionally (as well as not-so-regionally) relevant FOOD for all attendees to partake!!
