Scholars at Risk Network Announces Summer 2009 Internships
Deadline: April 15
The Scholars at Risk Network (SAR) is an international network of universities dedicated to promoting academic freedom and defending the human rights of scholars worldwide. Through offering direct assistance to scholars, research, advocacy and capacity-building, SAR members contribute to creating a global community respectful of academic freedom, freedom of inquiry, freedom of expression and related values.
SAR is seeking summer interns to contribute to a variety of aspects of our work, including: advocacy, fundraising/development, core casework (direct and indirect assistance to scholars), international event-planning and outreach.
Graduate students and final year undergraduate students in law, human rights, international affairs and related fields are encouraged to apply. Language skills desirable. 35 hour/week commitment preferred for 10 weeks over the summer. Students at SAR member universities will be given priority.
Please apply by emailing a resume and cover letter, indicating which aspect of SAR's work is of most interest to you, on or before April 15 to firstname.lastname@example.org.
