International Programs

The Cornell Women's Resource Center,  the International Students and Scholars Office and the International Women's Day Committee invite you to nominate someone you know to be recognized and celebrated on this special day.  Please take a few moments to nominate a friend, colleague, or family member who deserves recognition.

Who can be nominated?

• a local international woman whose achievements and accomplishments deserve distinction
• an international student who works on global women's issues
• an American student who works on behalf of global women's issues
• a Cornell professor, staff person, or Ithaca/Tompkins County community member who works with international women or on global women's issues
• women, men, adults, young people!

The purpose of this celebration and these nominations is to acknowledge that our community is filled with local women and supportive men who embody the richness of internationalism and we would like to recognize these individuals for what they add to Cornell University and the world.

No accomplishment is too small, no experience insignificant.

Please take the time to nominate those whose every day actions deserve distinction.

All nominees will be honored at a special celebration on March 8, 2009, at 2 pm in Willard Straight Hall, Memorial Room (mark your calendars!). Please submit nominations by Monday, February 23, 2009.
