Tuition Costs
The Renmin University of China (RUC) Exchange Program is tuition-neutral (no tuition charged to ILR students).
Other Costs
ILR exchange students are responsible for passport, visa, air fare, room and board, transportation, fees related to courses, books, and personal expenses. See link to dining restaurants.
Courses & Credits
Renmin University of China offers an extensive summer curriculum for international exchange students. All classes are taught in English by
distinguished RUC faculty. Admitted students will take 2 courses for a total of 4 credits. One course must be in Mandarin language study, the other in any subject related to China.
ILR students may enroll in courses that are pre-approved by ILR for transfer credits. For a listing of pre-approved courses follow this link. Prior to enrollment, students must consult with their OSS Advisor and Donna Ramil, Associate Director, ILR International Programs on the particulars of courses and transfer credits. When admitted into the RUC Exchange Program, ILR students may enroll on-line.
