The Institute for Workplace Studies works in partnership with the ILR Credit Internship Program, which is designed to provide hands-on learning experiences for ILR juniors and seniors through semester-long work in labor unions, businesses, governmental agencies, and nonprofit organizations. To complement their work experience, McKelvey-Grant Professor Samuel Bacharach leads a weekly seminar for interns based in New York City, and the IWS serves as an academic home for these students during their time away from the Ithaca campus.
