Susan W. Brecher, Esq.

Susan Brecher
Director, Curriculum and Training Design

Susan W. Brecher, Esq., Director of Employee Relations, Legal, EEO and Diversity Programs in Human Capital Development at Cornell University, ILR. She currently manages learning services in Legal, Employee Relations, and EEO, including developing, designing and facilitating programs. In addition, Ms. Brecher partners with private, public, and non-profit organizations on customized training programs. During her tenure at Cornell, Ms. Brecher served as a Director of Statewide Management Programs as well as oversight of all aspects of the EEO, Labor Relations, Human Resources, Management Development and Online Learning programs. Ms. Brecher teaches in a graduate level Human Resources Program and advises, consults, coaches, handles all aspects of employment law, employee relations, internal investigations, dispute resolution issues and mediates, facilitates and conducts fact-findings. She worked at the law firm Skadden, Arps, ABC and NBC and holds a B.A. summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, from Union College and a J.D. from Case Western Reserve University, where she was on the Law Review.

Ida K Chen, Esq.

Ida K Chen, Esq., The Honorable Judge, Court of Common Pleas, First Judicial District, Pennsylvania, became the first Asian American female to serve as a judge in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Formerly, she was a senior trial attorney for the EEOC and commissioner for the Philadelphia Commission on Human Relations. Judge Chen chaired the Ethics Committee of the 21st Century Review Forum for the City of Philadelphia. Currently, Judge Chen is a member of the Interbranch Commission for Gender, Racial & Ethnic Fairness which promotes the equal application of the law for all citizens of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. She is an adjunct professor at Temple University's School of Law.

Peter M. Stein, Esq.

Peter M. Stein, Esq., Partner, Epstein, Becker & Green, P.C., is a member of the firm's Labor and Employment practice and represents both national and regional employers in all aspects of labor and employment law. Prior to joining EBG, Mr. Stein served as in-house labor counsel to U.S. Industries, Inc., and as Associate General Counsel to Health Industries, Inc. Mr. Stein regularly lectures on a variety of human resources topics.

Lolita Chandler

Lolita Chandler, President of The Chandler Group, combines her many years of experience promoting diversity and multiculturalism in education and business, to offer coaching and consulting services in the areas of Culture and Multiculturalism, and also Diversity and Inclusion to business, education and not-for-profit organizations.

The first twenty years of her professional life were spent as an educator in the New York City Public Schools where she worked as a classroom teacher, administrator and curriculum writer, and later as an Instructor in the School of Education at Brooklyn College, City University of New York.

After a successful career in education, Lolita changed careers and entered the educational publishing industry. She joined Macmillan Publishing Company, working as a sales representative in order to understand the business, and later as a National Consultant, Vice President of Marketing and Vice President of Training and Staff development and Vice President of Urban Marketing. She also became licensed as a sales trainer, certified by Carew International.

While at Macmillan Publishing Company she made significant contributions to the development of the publication, "Reflecting Diversity: Multicultural Guidelines for Educational Publishing Professionals" published by Macmillan-McGraw Hill School Division. This publication provided guidelines for those developing and those evaluating instructional materials to examine such issues as sexism, racism, objectionable stereotypes, historical distortions and contextual invisibility in the content of materials.

Lolita was later promoted to a corporate position as Vice President of Diversity for The McGraw-Hill Companies. She also worked at Avon Products, Inc. as Director of Diversity.

Tracey I. Levy, Esq.

Tracey I. Levy is the founder of Levy Employment Law, LLC. Offering clients the benefit of experienced employment law advice, combined with sophisticated human resources strategy and solutions, Tracey guides managers and in-house counsel through the full employee life- cycle, providing practical advice on workplace-related issues.

Immediately prior to forming Levy Employment Law, LLC, Tracey was an Employee Relations Specialist with UBS AG, with over 20,000 employees in the US. At UBS, Tracey was responsible for ensuring fairness and consistency in its approach to managing employees. Serving as the Americas HR policy lead, Tracey advised on policy interpretation and employment law obligations, led strategic planning and rollout of new HR policies and processes, and developed and delivered training to achieve adoption.

At UBS, Tracey regularly led workplace investigations in response to employee concerns and recommended solutions. Daily, she counseled HR and line managers regarding performance management, leave administration, workplace accommodations, and workplace disputes. Tracey also advised on individual selections and implementation of reductions-in-force and outsourcing/offshoring. Tracey created and led in-person and virtual classroom training for managers, employees and HR professionals on matters related to appropriate workplace conduct, compliance with US employment laws and effective performance management.

Complimenting her years of hands-on HR experience, Tracey is an experienced employment lawyer, having worked more than eleven years as an attorney in the Labor and Employment Law Department of Proskauer Rose LLP, one of the nation’s leading labor and employment law firms. During her tenure at Proskauer, Tracey defended employers in court and before administrative agencies regarding claims of unlawful harassment, discrimination and retaliation, wage and hour violations, breach of contract and tort. Tracey’s clients ranged from multi- national corporations to small private businesses, in various industries, including retail, academia, shipping, financial services, consulting, not-for-profits, health care, technology, and hospitality.

At Proskauer, Tracey also served as the department lead on HR policies and employee/manager training program development. She regularly counseled clients on various employment law matters such as policy and manual development, performance management, workplace investigations, contracts and reductions-in-force. Tracey also created, enhanced and led training programs for preventing harassment and discrimination, and developed content for on- line training programs offered by WeComply.

Tracey began her legal career as a senior court attorney with the New York State Court of Appeals where she reviewed motions for leave to appeal and sua sponte inquiries that covered the full scope of New York civil litigation. Tracey is a graduate of Yale Law School’s LLM program, where she focused her studies on employment and labor law. Tracey earned her JD summa cum laude from Albany Law School of Union University and a BA in Political Science magna cum laude from Union College.

Tracey is admitted to practice in New York and Connecticut. She is a member of the New York City Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
