Susan W. Brecher, Esq., Director of Legal and Employee Relations Programs in Human Capital Development at Cornell University, ILR. She currently manages learning services in Legal, Employee Relations, and EEO, including developing, designing and facilitating programs. In addition, Ms. Brecher partners with private, public, and non-profit organizations on customized training programs. During her tenure at Cornell, Ms. Brecher served as a Director of Statewide Management Programs as well as oversight of all aspects of the EEO, Labor Relations, Human Resources, Management Development and Online Learning programs. Ms. Brecher teaches in a graduate level Human Resources Program and advises, consults, coaches, handles all aspects of employment law, employee relations, internal investigations, dispute resolution issues and mediates, facilitates and conducts fact-findings. She worked at the law firm Skadden, Arps, ABC and NBC and holds a B.A. summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, from Union College and a J.D. from Case Western Reserve University, where she was on the Law Review.
Shelley M. Greenwald, Esq., Principal, Shelley M. Greenwald, Esq., specializing in the field of employment practices and litigation. Ms. Greenwald advises, counsels, trains, and handles all aspects of employment law litigation. Formerly, she was in-house counsel at NBC and has appeared on CourtTV and CNBC.
Lisa L. Hunter, Founder, Newport Consulting Group, Inc. Ms. Hunter is a seasoned consultant with more than thirty years of experience in the design and implementation of compensation programs, organizational planning and development, and human resource management. She advises clients on a broad range of issues, including total rewards strategy, executive compensation, linking compensation with business strategy, performance management, and organizational change. In addition to her work as a consultant, Ms. Hunter is the Program Director for The Conference Board's Executive Compensation Management and Compensation Councils. Prior to establishing the Newport Consulting Group, she held senior human resources management positions at Time-Warner, Simon and Schuster, and Home Box Office. Ms. Hunter serves on the ILR Dean's Advisory Council and has served both as President of the ILR Alumni Association and as a Vice Chair of the Cornell University Council. Lisa holds a degree in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University.
William J.Milani, Esq., Partner, Epstein, Becker & Green, P.C., heads the firm's International Employment Law group and is a Vice-Chairman of the firm's Board of Directors. Mr. Milani is actively engaged in the private practice of labor and employment law exclusively on behalf of multinational and domestic corporations, with particular experience representing clients in the financial services industry. Mr. Milani has counseled foreign multinational clients doing business in the U.S. on the unique labor and employment law issues they face.
Robert J. Nobile, Esq., Partner, Seyfarth Shaw LLP, specializing in labor/employment law. Mr. Nobile has 15 years of experience as an employment lawyer and 10 years as an HR professional. He authored the Guide to Employee Handbooks; The HR Guide; Essential Facts of Employment; and Guide to Corporate HR Policies/Procedures Manuals.
Andrea S. Rattner, Esq., Partner, Proskauer Rose LLP, is the chair of the firm's tax department, where she practices in the field of employee benefits and executive compensation law. Ms. Rattner practices in the field of employee benefits and executive compensation law. She co-authored A Guide to Complying with ERISA and 404(c) and has taught benefits law courses at Fordham University Law School.
Donald W. Savelson, Esq., Partner, Proskauer Rose LLP, handles a wide variety of labor and employment matters for the firm, including WARN, NLRA wage/hour, unemployment, ADA, FMLA, workers compensation, and occupational safety and health matters. He regularly litigates before government agencies and in the courts and has been actively involved in litigating numerous complex OSHA cases. He has written and lectured widely for almost twenty years and co?authored the first law book on OSHA in 1976, entitled Occupational Safety and Health Law and Practice. Formerly, he was an attorney with the National Labor Relations Board.
