In March 2007, the ILR Groat Award was presented to Jay Waks '68 JD '71. The Judge William B. Groat Award was established to honor a distinguished graduate who has demonstrated outstanding service and support to the School, and recognizes those whose career accomplishments have been primarily within the field of industrial and labor relations.
Paul Cole received the Jerome Alpern award, which was established to honor a distinguished alumnus or ILR friend who has demonstrated outstanding service and support to the School, and recognizes those whose career accomplishments have been primarily outside the field of industrial and labor relations.
