Graduate Degree Programs

Visiting the Ithaca Campus

Students walk along Tower Road near Ives HallAlthough we don't require a formal interview, campus visits are encouraged and welcomed. It is best to visit on a weekday other than Friday. We do not recommend visiting during academic holidays (see the Cornell Academic Calendar). A one-day visit is usually adequate. Applicants considering the MILR/MBA dual degree program should plan to visit for two days: one day at ILR and one day at the Johnson school. To make arrangements with the Johnson School see the Johnson Graduate School of Management website. Also consider visiting campus attractions, campus activities, sports events, and local attractions.

To schedule your visit please send an email to ilrgradapplicant@cornell.edu at least two weeks in advance of your planned visit. The graduate student visit coordinator will contact you to assist by arranging your choice of the following activities:

  • Meeting with the Coordinator of the ILR Graduate Program
  • Meeting the Director or Assistant Director of the ILR Career Services office
  • Meeting a faculty member who represents your areas of interest
  • Having a student-guided tour of ILR and central Cornell University Campus
  • Attending a graduate class
  • Having lunch with a graduate student

A helpful map of the ILR School is available at this link. For additional visitor information see the Cornell visitor website and Cornell University Maps.
