Master of Professional Studies Programs

Managing Director and Senior Research Associate, Pamela Stepp, lecturingThe Master of Professional Studies (MPS) program is designed for students who are or have been employed in human resources, dispute resolution, collective representation, or other labor-related fields and wish to upgrade their skills and understanding. The primary residential MPS degree program is on  the Ithaca, New York campus, but we also offer a New York City-based MPS program for employed professionals in the metropolitan area who wish to study part-time.

The Ithaca MPSILR degree program requires a total of 30 credit hours (2 residence units) and an MPS Project. This full time program takes one year to complete. There are no specific course requirements for this degree. Students choose their courses with the assistance of a Special Graduate Committee Chairperson, who also supervisors their MPS Project.

The New York City MPSILR degree program is conducted only on a part-time basis with students enrolled in weekend and summer courses. For more specific information please visit the MPS/NYC web site.
