MILR/ ESCP-EAP European School of Management Dual Degree Program
ILR graduate students now have a new opportunity to get international experience to further their educational and career goals. Beginning in Fall 2008, interested MILR Students can work toward a dual degree from the ILR School at Cornell and a Degree in Management from the Paris campus of the European School of Management ESCP-EAP, ranked fourth among European business schools by the Financial Times.
The ILR School / ESCP-EAP dual degree program allows students to get a MILR degree from the Cornell ILR School and a Masters in Management degree (“Master Grande Ecole”) from ESCP-EAP in just three years. It is intended that the first year be in Ithaca, the second year at one of ESCP-EAP's 5 campuses: Paris, Berlin, Turin, Madrid, or London, and the third year finishing up on the Ithaca campus.
Application Requirements
Students interested in the ESCP-EAP dual degree should complete the application for the ESCP-EAP by March 15, 2008. Students whose applications have passed the screening process will be required to give an interview.
The ESCP-EAP prefers students to submit GMAT scores as this is a business degree, however they will accept the GRE. Students are further encouraged to take statistics and or finance in their first semester at Cornell so that these grades will be included in the fall semester transcript.
Students must apply both to the ILR School and to the ESCP-EAP program separately.
Interested students who are also applying to the MILR program should be sure to get their MILR application in by the program deadline, January 1st.
Students will be notified of their acceptance to the MILR program by the end of April.

- Electives : 30 hours (either 2 courses over 10 weeks or 4 courses at 5 weeks each)
- Management Control prerequisite: Cost & Decisions, 15hrs over 2weeks
- French: 30 hours (3 hours once a week)
ESCP-EAP Program and Requirements
Students who have been accepted to the program will be required to participate in an orientation which will assess their foreign language skills and assign students to groups for further language study. Language classes are held in the evenings.
ESCP-EAP requires all students to know two European languages, English will be accepted as one. Students in Paris will be required to study French. The majority of classes taught on the Paris campus are offered in English.
There will also be testing to determine readiness for core business courses and in some cases a seminar may be arranged to bring students unfamiliar with business concepts up to speed. These seminars will be required and will be held concurrently with core courses.
The ESCP-EAP further requires 39 weeks of internships or prior work experience, which may be done in any country worldwide. These internships must be finished before the degree is completed at the end of the three-year program, but must not all be completed during the year at ESCP-EAP. The ESCP-EAP office of career services will be available to help students arrange internships.
ESCP-EAP students are also required to complete a research project, which may be either individually completed or completed as part of a two-person team.
