Trade Union Climate Strategy After Durban: Does the UNFCCC Have a Future?
November 30
This workshop will offer an opportunity for and exchange of views between union delegates attending COP 17 on the future of the UNFCCC process and the prospects of a fair, ambitious and binding global agreement. What have unions learned from the process since COP 13 in Bali? Should unions be discussing supplementary and alternative strategies? How do we better connect our climate work with the struggles of working people around the world against austerity budgets and attacks on workers' rights and protections?
