AFL-CIO President John Sweeney on the ‘Social Dimension’ of Globalization

John Sweeney, President of the AFL-CIO discussed his work on the International Labor Organization's World Commission on the Social Dimension of Globalization. Published in 2004, the commissions report A Fair Globalization points to "ethically unacceptable and politically unsustainable imbalances in the current workings of the global economy." Other speakers included Hamish Jenkins, ILO Geneva; Inez McCormack, former President of Irish Council of Trade Unions; and Carol Barton, Women's International Coalition for Economic Justice.
