Monitoring Freedom of Association Seminar
On May 15-16, 2008, the Cornell ILR's Global Labor Institute and International Programs hosted its second Seminar on Monitoring Freedom of Association (FOA) Under Corporate Codes of Conduct. This seminar brought 24 top leaders from corporations, worker advocacy groups and government agencies to discuss "the thorniest area of labor standards monitoring:" freedom of association, the right to organize, and the right to collective bargaining. This seminar was led by ILR faculty Lance Compa and Sarosh Kuruvilla.
