Organizations can provide a safer work atmosphere by bringing scientific and technical information and awareness to workplace policies, procedures, processes, and products. Cornell-ILR Extension faculty provide timely services and training in areas such as chemical and biological hazards, indoor air quality and lead levels, alcohol and drug abuse, and stress management and violence in the workplace.

Lead-Based Training is a lead abatement and risk assessment program that defines and teaches hazard abatement and investigation techniques. The program has been accredited and approved in New York State by the Environmental Protection Agency, Region 2.

Violence in the Workplace, sponsored jointly by Cornell University and the New York Labor Union Coalition Against Domestic Violence, helps unions address domestic violence as a workplace issue and find solutions to this problem.
