Extension & Outreach

Outreach is central to ILR’s mission. The knowledge generated through ILR research and education is used to shape best practices in the workplace and inform public policy decisions that improve working lives.

ILR outreach includes training and professional development programs to build individual leadership skills, improve organizational effectiveness and advance careers.

The school's many centers and institutes are central to outreach efforts. They are involved in education, research, policy analysis, consulting and information dissemination relating to the most important work and employment issues-of-the-day. ILR has leading centers and institutes focused on global human resource management, conflict resolution, employment and disabilities, globalization and labor, workplace studies and alcohol/substance abuse in the workplace, and the economics of higher education.
