ILR Celebrated Its 60th Anniversary in 2006
Today, as ILR Extension celebrates its 60th anniversary, our scope and breadth continue to evolve in response to the broader and more layered issues that impact the world of work. Under the new leadership of Dean Harry C. Katz and Associate Dean of Outreach Susanne Bruyère, ILR is redefining and strengthening its mission of Advancing the World of Work.
ILR collectively addresses the issues facing the workplace by conducting training, consultation, research, and information dissemination projects by focusing on:
- Conflict Resolution, Alternative Dispute Resolution, and Labor Relations
- Diversity and Inclusion
- Employment and Disability
- Labor and Employment Law
- Labor and Unions
- Management Development and Human Resource Management
Our reach continues to extend across New York State, the nation, and the world. Interview with Lois Gray
In February 2006, we met with Lois Gray in ILR's New York City office to capture on tape the wisdom and experience Lois acquired over the span of her 60 years of service and leadership to ILR. Lois was the first employee of ILR Extension, signing on as director of our Buffalo, New York, office in 1946. Her insights and wealth of experience are a fitting kick-off to ILR's celebration of its outreach activities.
