We are your connection to ILR. The Office of Alumni Affairs and Development provides ongoing opportunities for you — alumni, parents, and friends — to enrich your lives and join us as partners. In return, we ask for your interest, your time, and your support. Your intellectual and financial resources are critical to ILR's mission of teaching, research, and outreach.

Alumni, Parents, and Friends

The Alumni Affairs office is your source for information about and involvement with ILR. We host events for alumni to meet and network. We bring together alumni, faculty, practitioners, and current students to talk about teaching, research, and workplace practices. We share news about the school to keep our friends fully informed. We do all this to build support for ILR, its faculty, students, and programs, and to raise awareness about ILR initiatives. The continuing vigor of the school and its outstanding reputation are dependent upon our relationship with you.

ILR Alumni Association

The ILR contingent marching to Commencement

Cornell ILR Alumni Association has a two-fold mission: membership and outreach. Become a member! The association is your link to ILR. Your alumni association dues represent your current vote of confidence in, and support for, ILR and the value of your ILR degree. Your dues also bring you the Alumni Bulletin, which is distributed electronically every week.

With 15 chapters around the country, the Alumni Association is in constant motion. Chapters organize events and welcome receptions throughout the year in their regions. Find out what is going on near you.

The Importance of ILR's Alumni

Dean Harry Katz

ILR's new dean, Harry Katz, who assumed his new role on July 1st, has said that one of the remarkable things about ILR's diverse alumni is the active roles they play, both as financial and intellectual contributors. We invite you to listen to his remarks (mp3) on the importance of Alumni from a recent interview.

Listen to more of his interview (mp3) or read the transcript (pdf).
