Quality, Cost-Effective Team Learning for Mid- to Small-Sized Firms
Our learning consortiums provide the best of both worlds – the chance to learn from leading ILR faculty as well as the opportunity to engage in best practice sharing and benchmarking with other firms, both inside and outside of your industry, that are facing similar challenges.
Each Learning Consortium engages 2-5 non-competing firms in a team-based, executive program aimed at tackling shared HR challenges. Participants leave the program with not only the tools and solutions necessary to address these issues but also a support network of HR executives around the world.
The consortium option:
- Allows companies to benefit from focused, quality strategic HR education—combining cutting-edge faculty theories and models with the exchange of best practices among companies facing similar HR issues.
- Increases the transfer of training and knowledge back to the workplace. Consortium teams work on existing company issues, are encouraged to present solutions, and receive immediate feedback and suggestions from other consortium participants and faculty.
- Improves the overall effectiveness of your HR organization and change efforts. Our team training format helps create a support network within participating organizations, making team members champions for their change efforts back in the office.
- Lowers training costs by distributing the cost of custom program development and delivery across several organizations.
Course Content to Fit Your Needs
Consortium members work with our faculty and staff to design an appropriate curriculum to suit their organizations’ needs. Participating organizations decide how best to meet those needs by customizing the course curriculum, length, location and format. Prior consortiums have included site and facility tours to see best practices in action, guest lectures by noted experts from industry, academia and government, and participation by human resources and line executives together.
