Students are consistently invited to CSE meetings (planning & annual reviews) but attendance is inconsistent, particularly at the middle school level. Participation is often determined by parent/guardians. Guidance planning meetings are routinely held with all students, and parental input is obtained [student initiated] regarding course of study and long-range planning. Finally, those students that arc identified as needing additional transition support services are strongly encouraged to participate in the transition planning process [VESID, internship & senior exit meetings], but they are not regularly attending. Currently, students must be "tracked down" and invited multiple times. Sometimes, parents/guardians are also reluctant to include the student for a myriad of reasons. Repeated cancellations, delay the ability for us to
provide services in a comprehensive and timely fashion.
