Families are involved on a very limited basis. Most do complete the Level One Assessment Parent Interview, and some attend their student's CSE meetings. However, the parent role in transition planning is more passive; they often express they don't feel they are a part of the process.

Parents will attend meetings and a record will be kept to document participation.
 
If parent and student participation is below target we will increase follow-up calls, offer incentives, such as food, babysitting, and different locations (home, neutral site).
