EARN Webinar: Creating Linkages for Effective Recruitment of Candidates with Disabilities
Recruiting and hiring qualified employees with disabilities requires a multi-faceted strategy. To be most effective, employers and federal contractors should become familiar with resources both at the national and local levels. This webinar will highlight two important resources listed in the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) proposed revised regulations of Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended and released on December 9, 2011: the National Employment Team and the Employer Assistance and Resource Network (EARN). Presenters will describe their organizations’ services and discuss how HR professional may establish on-going relationships and linkages to facilitate the recruitment and hiring of candidates with disabilities. Webinar participants will learn about recruitment and outreach resources and hear from a large federal contractor about the value of establishing national and local linkages for tapping into the underutilized talent of persons with disabilities.
