It will also address how managers and front line staff can go beyond their legal responsibilities to offer positive interactions with their customers with disabilities through respectful and effective communication.

The Citizen-Centered Leadership Development Community of Practice series is a unique combination of self-paced distance learning study, robust field work, interactive class assignments and live webcast instruction designed to advance theoretic and skill-based learning leading to quality outcomes in the lives of people with disabilities.

This training will center on staff can best serve and interact with individuals with disabilities. It will also provide an overview of the responsibilities of state agencies under Title II of the ADA and review changes implemented after the ADA Amendments Act.
