Proper planning and information is critical to this effort and participants will gain the knowledge necessary to help ease this transition. Online polling will be used to test participant knowledge. This session lays the foundation upon which community inclusion and meaningful citizenship contribution are built. It will include a brief review of civil and disabilities rights movements that have had powerful impact on contemporary society and explore in greater detail the importance of understanding how valued social roles are translated into citizenship.
