This informational seminar provides basic information pertaining to benefits overpayments using lecture, PowerPoint and opportunity for question and answer. Online polling will be used to test participant knowledge. A preparatory reading assignment will be provided and is required.
The interplay between FMLA and ADA presents increasingly complex issues for employers as they try to navigate leave and accommodation requests. This is especially true with the expansion of the definition of disabilities under the ADA Amendment Act and the expensive settlements related to inflexible leave policies. This webinar will highlight the important responsibilities of HR, managers, and employees in engaging in the complexities of intermittent leave; requests for medical information in view of GINA obligations; and the interactive accommodation process. The webinar will include case studies and best practices for managing these multifaceted challenges.
