Employers Can't Afford to Ignore Mental Health

Presenter: Clare Miller, Director, Partnership for Workplace Mental Health
Description: Sometimes referred to as “hidden” disabilities, mental health conditions are prevalent and when unaccommodated, can be extremely costly to business. Indirect costs alone amount to an estimated $80-100 billion annually. The good news is that engagement with employees with mental health disabilities is not only effective, it improves work performance and productivity. This webinar will discuss the business case for paying attention to mental health at the workplace and suggest steps employers can take to make a difference. Specifically, the webinar will focus on:
  • How mental health conditions affect employers and the business case associated with taking action;
  • How leading employer practices are successfully addressing mental health; and,
  • Free tools and resources available through the Partnership for Workplace Mental Health.
