| Introduction | Critical to the delivery of effective benefits and work incentives planning and assistance are the communication skills of the benefits/work incentives practitioner. Good communication skills provide the cornerstone for good work incentives counseling, and this program teaches participants how to engage in active listening and “values-free” communication. |

| Special Features | This course explores effective communication strategies using lecture, PowerPoint, video and written materials. This skill-building session provides opportunity for question and answer. A preparatory reading assignment will be provided and is required. Video role plays will be used and the participant must be able to link to an existing URL to stream video at the appointed time. Discussion will follow. |
