Andrea Terrillion : Biography

As an experienced labor and employment attorney, Andrea Terrillion represented clients ranging from Fortune 100 companies to large, non-profit organizations, municipalities and school districts.  After years in legal practice, Andrea recognized that she was best at distilling the "legal" to its basic components and helping non-legal professionals comply with legal constraints while getting the job done.  It was that realization that led her to her current position as Director of Labor Relations and Legal Studies at Cornell ILR.

An experienced trainer and facilitator with substantive expertise in contract administration, collective bargaining, workplace law, and equal employment opportunity, Andrea facilitates more than 20 different workshops in Cornell ILR's Management Education program.  Since joining the full-time faculty, she has further enhanced ILR’s historically strong labor relations program by incorporating interactive training techniques, technological advances and adult learning tenets.  In addition, she has cemented the national reputation of the labor relations studies program, designing and delivering customized labor relations workshops and certificate programs throughout the United States and beyond. Andrea has capitalized on her diverse professional experience by partnering with clients in virtually every industry and sector including health care, public education, utilities, hospitality, manufacturing, government, distribution and transportation to develop and deliver customized labor relations training programs for their employees.

Ms. Terrillion earned her B.S. in business administration from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.  She earned her J.D. cum laude from Albany Law School of Union University in Albany, New York.  She is a member of the Labor and Employment Law Section of the American Bar Association and the American Society for Training and Development. In addition, Ms. Terrillion has provided legal commentary and analysis for local media (print, radio and television) regarding workplace law issues and has lectured throughout the United States on various workplace and management issues and has published several articles on workplace law.
