The Employee Relations Department is part of the overall Human Resources Division which provides support to over fifty thousand employees at the world's largest single-site employer facility.
5 POSITIONS AVAILABLE
1) The Walt Disney World Labor Relations Department at Walt Disney World is responsible for the negotiation and administration of seven Collective Bargaining Agreements, which represent approximately 20 affiliate unions and approximately 33,000 employees. The Labor Relations Intern will be responsible for entering and assuring accuracy of Human Resource related information into a computer database. Creating and generating productivity and department status reports. Assisting in technology driven process improvement efforts. Handling intake and processing of confidential Human Resources files. In addition, the Labor Relations Intern will gain exposure to the Grievance and Arbitration process at Walt Disney World. Interns will also be offered the opportunity to become involved in Labor Relations related projects.
2) The Walt Disney World Immigration Compliance Department facilitates the filing and processing of applications for non-immigrant visas for various employment programs at the Walt Disney World Resort. The Immigration Compliance Intern will assist with the compilation of documentation for visa applications, prepare communication for government agencies, enter and assure accuracy of the information into the computer database, and review documentation of individuals arriving to participate in Company employment programs.
3) The Walt Disney World HR Compliance office facilitates the enforcement of the Company’s policies regarding Equal Employment Opportunity & Harassment. The HR Compliance Intern will assist in facilitating the interactive process in reviewing requests for accommodations in the workplace. Responsibilities will include reviewing files, meeting with employees and leadership, entering and assuring accuracy of HR information into a computer database, and creating and generating productivity and department status reports. In addition, the Intern will gain exposure to the investigation of employee concerns and the grievance process. Interns will also be offered the opportunity to become involved in other HR Compliance related projects.
