Nestle Waters North America (NWNA), a division of Nestle SA, is the largest producer, marketer, and distributor of bottled water and related products in North America.  We sell 15 brands throughout North America, resulting in annual sales of about $4 billion.  We have approximately 8.000 employees in the U.S. and Canada and over 100 individual locations.  Our Woodbridge, Illinois office includes a small bottling facility, a distribution center which serves customers in the greater Chicago area, and a regional headquarters.

NWNA is in the midst of several projects which could be valuable experiences for interns.  First we are in the middle of a transition to an SAP-based technology/IS platform, which as many implications and requires a great deal of careful preparation and coordination.  An intern could help us make sure that our Human Resources information is ready for transfer to the new system and that our administrators are educated and prepared for the change.  This will be a good example of process and culture change that many organizations are going through and would be valuable for an intern to see and be involved in first-hand.

Second, we are the midst of reviewing a number of our staffing related processes that will be undergoing change.  An intern can help us develop new processes, prepare communication and training tools to educate our field practitioners, and conduct analysis to track effectiveness of our processes.

These are two specific examples of projects that we expect an intern to get involved in.  However, there are numerous other initiatives or activities that could also be included, depending upon a student's skills, interests, and time available, for example:  annual merit processes communication/coordination, direct involvement in front-line hiring (factory, sales, delivery positions), development of various communication/training materials, etc.

SKILLS:

Looking for students who are very self-motivated, can act with limited direction, like to "get their hands dirty," and have an interest in learning about HR and our business. 

Proficient in MS Office applications & internet
