The ILR School is pleased to host this first event in a series of activities designed to engage labor, management, and community stakeholders in a statewide dialogue on working together to meet the needs of students, schools, and communities.

Negotiating and implementing APPR agreements raises difficult questions and challenges, with important impacts on students, teachers, and schools. This event is an opportunity for the educational labor-management community to learn from each other, identify roadblocks, and promote continued collective efforts to build high quality teacher development programs across NYS districts.

Please join us in an active day of discussion to:

  • share successful strategies for collaborative design and implementation of APPR programs
  • identify common problems and questions
  • discuss how we can promote further collaboration and dissemination of effective practice

Who should attend: Teachers, Administrators, Union Leaders, Board of Education Members, and others in the educational community with an interest in promoting excellence in labor-management relations for student success.

Cost: $100/person or $150/ teams of teacher, union, district, and school board representatives (up to 4 people/team).* Scholarships available for conference registration costs.

*This event is partially underwritten by the generous support of the Educational Conference Board.
