Ryan Lamare began working at the Scheinman Institute on Conflict Resoltion as an ILR School undergraduate in 2003. He is now a Ph.D. candidate at the School, and has been involved with several research projects conducted by Professor Lipsky and others at the Institute. In addition to other endeavors, he has been heavily involved in gathering research materials for use in the consultancy work performed by Professor Lipsky and others on behalf of the Patrolman's Benevolent Association in their arbitration with the City of New York.
Ryan has also served for the last several years as the teaching assistant for Professor Lipsky in his courses on Negotiation: Theory and Practice, Managing and Resolving Conflicts, and Introduction to Collective Bargaining. Ryan is currently in the process of completing his dissertation, with Professor Lipsky serving as his committee chair. He intends to enter into the academic world after finishing his education, and will focus much of his future research in the realm of alternative dispute resolution.
