Jillian graduated from ILR in 2005. She became involved with the Institute during her junior year by assisting Professor Katz and Professor Lipsky with research on pattern bargaining in support of a PBA arbitration. In addition, she enjoyed many dispute resolution courses including Negotiation, Managing & Resolving Conflict, Collective Bargaining Simulation, and Workplace Diversity.
Jillian participated on a three-member team that won the Bronze Medal in Mediation in the 2005 International Competition for Online Dispute Resolution. As an undergraduate, Jillian became a member of the Association for Conflict Resolution, Greater New York Chapter, and continues to be an active member, attending conferences and seminars in New York City.
After graduating from Cornell, Jillian worked in the Executive Compensation and Employee Benefits practice group at Shearman & Sterling LLP, where she used many of her ILR skills in assisting with the preparation of employment agreements, benefit plan amendments, and Securities and Exchange Commission filings.
Jillian is currently in her first year at New York Law School and is a new member of the American Bar Association Section of Dispute Resolution, Law Student Advisory. She plans to continue her ADR studies, focusing on labor and employment law.
