Mediating in the Federal Sector

This program currently has no scheduled dates.

Frequently, discussions about mediating in the federal sector begin and end with the programs of the U.S. EEOC. However there are numerous federal agencies that have established their own ADR programs.

This two-day workshop will explore the spectrum of mediating employment disputes in the federal sector for agencies other than the EEOC.

The agenda starts with the history of ADR with federal agencies, and then proceeds to historical and current programs among federal agencies.

We will specifically review the mediation programs for the Department of Energy, the TSA Model Workplace Office and others.

Much of the workshop will be devoted to the nuances of actual mediation practices in the federal sector, including actual case stories. The workshop will close with a discussion on employment opportunities in the federal sector.

The course will be taught by Richard Fincher. Dick Fincher is a full-time mediator with significant experience in mediating federal sector disputes.

Registration Fee will include all program materials, breakfast and lunch each day.
