Background and Previous Experience

Nazanin Eftekhari is a Ph.D. fellow in the Department of Business and Management at Aalborg University, Denmark. She completed her Master of Science in Innovation and Business in 2013 and started her Ph.D. in the same year. Her research interests are entrepreneurship as well as innovation. In particular, she is interested in new venture creation and exit and open innovation. She recently published a paper entitled “Open for Entrepreneurship: How Open Innovation Can Foster New Venture Creation” in the journal of Creativity and Innovation Management. Currently, she is working on her Ph.D. thesis entitled “The Aftermath of New Venture Failure,” which looks at different resources after new venture dissolution. 

Current Research at ILR

At the ILR School, Ms. Eftekhari is researching team co-mobility after new venture failure in collaboration with her advisor Bram Timmermans. At the same time, she is working on a paper in which she is looking at the entrepreneurial failure concept from different stakeholders’ perspectives in entrepreneurship.  She is also interested in collaborating on new projects with faculty and/or Ph.D. students interested in the entrepreneurial failure context.
