Background and Previous Experience

Kwanghyun Kim is an Associate Professor of Management and SK-SUPEX Research Fellow at Korea University Business School. He received his Ph.D. in management from the Mays Business School at Texas A&M University and his Master of Human Resources and Industrial Relations at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His research focuses on global human resources, performance management, and leadership development. His articles have appeared in journals such as the Academy of Management Journal, Journal of International Business Studies, Personnel Psychology, and Human Resource Management.

Current Research at ILR

During his stay at Cornell ILR, he intends to conduct research on the impact of digital technology on the workforce and workplace. He is interested in better understanding how digital technologies are changing the ways of work as well as the implications of digital transformation for people strategy and management (from talent acquisition and development to performance management to compensation) for organizational success.
