An Afternoon of Law: (Brief Talk followed by Law Panel)
Wednesday, April 3, 2013, 4:30pm, 196 Statler Hall
Want first-hand accounts about life as a law student, a paralegal, or a lawyer? Deciding between working first or going straight to law school? Current and former members of the law community will share their experiences and career paths. Join Carolyn Richmond, ILR '91 for an informal discussion about her unique and rewarding career path in a thriving legal practice representing a significant portion of New York City's restaurant community, nightlife and gym operators, and hotels. Carolyn has served as co-chair of Fox Rothschild's Hospitality Practice Group and employment counsel to the New York City Hospitality Alliance, and has found a way to develop a career that she is passionate about. Carolyn is a member of the Advisory Board of the Center for Hospitality Research at Cornell University and a member of the ILR Alumni Association's Board of Directors. The Law panel will represent current law students, paralegal, practicing attorneys and those who have taken a more non-traditional path in the legal field. Open to all Cornell students.
