Possible ways to find opportunities include:

Cornell CareerNet

  • On-campus Recruiting: Highlights internships where employers are coming to conduct interviews
  • Jobs and Internships: This section features summer jobs that are being marketed by employers who are not planning to come to campus.

ILR Job Postings (formerly Job-opps)

Active from December through June, this web-based posting service provides information on additional summer and full-time opportunities specifically for ILR students and recent alums. To gain access to the  ILR Student Job Postings, you must be an ILR student and use your kerberos account. If you encounter problems, contact ilrcareers@cornell.edu  or (607) 255-7816.

Web Search

Explore positions that may be posted on national job boards, and directly on web sites of organizations that interest you.

Networking

Connect with potential employers in your hometown or preferred areas, and inquiring about potential summer openings.

Summer Survey

Use this extensive database of previous summer positions to find possible leads. Since these employers have recent experience with one or more ILR students, they may respond positively to a letter or phone call from a current student.
