Meetings are one to two days in length; attendance is restricted to partner companies and the level of participants is targeted to those who can contribute to the topic. Example topics in 2006 and 2007:
- Beyond Intuition: Using HR Analytics to Improve Workforce Decisions
- The Talent Management Challenge
- Global HR Best Practices: Maximizing Innovation, Effectiveness and Efficiency in HR
- Employee Engagement
An important part of the CAHRS Partnership is access to cutting edge research with practical implications for firms.
Partner Executive Briefings
One-day partner executive briefings are conducted annually showcasing the CAHRS partner company's human resource policies and procedures. These briefings are designed for human resource specialists, and provide opportunities to discuss current research in an informal atmosphere. Previous executive briefings were held at the following partner companies: American Express, Tyco International, Starbucks Coffee, Shell, IBM, Home Depot, General Electric and Honeywell.
CAHRS Executive Roundtables
Access to the CAHRS Executive Roundtables. Recruiting is often a "first movers" game these days. While this annual event is not a recruiting fair, it does provide mutual benefits to both partners and incoming students. It offers graduate students in human resources and selected undergraduate seniors an opportunity to talk with top human resource executives about their careers, the future of human resources, and the skills they need to develop during their time at Cornell. It offers your company high level visibility very early in a student's program at ILR.
Executive Education
HR Executive Education classes at Cornell cover a wide spectrum of skills and levels of development. CAHRS partners are entitled to a 10% discount on all these programs.
