HR Leadership Podcast Series

Our HR Leadership Podcast Series offers 45-60 minute interviews with accomplished senior human resource executives who share their wisdom and experience. This series examines the role of CHROs, particularly focusing on the current challenges they face and best practices they use in building human resource organizations that add value. They share their perspectives on how the human resource profession has evolved, where it is today, and how it will change in the future.

Searchable Resource Collection

The CAHRS searchable resource collection is organized around enduring human resource topics based on discussions with partners, especially those on the CAHRS Advisory Board. It reflects a key strength of CAHRS: access to world class scholars, students, libraries, and companies. The collection captures ideas that have stood the test of time as well as those that are just emerging.

CAHRS White Paper Series

The resource collection includes the CAHRS White Paper Series. This collection consists of specially tailored research literature reviews compiled by CAHRS graduate research assistants to coincide with our partnership meeting themes.

Faculty Working Paper Series

CAHRS has a catalog of more than 400 faculty working papers that are available for download.  They cover a wide range of human resource topics and are arranged by year. While the working paper series is open to the public, CAHRS partners have access to an enhanced search to help them find the resources they need.

Customized Information Service

In collaboration with Cornell University’s Institute for Workplace Studies (IWS), CAHRS now provides a monthly customized information service covering key workplace issues exclusively for CAHRS partners. Since the current IWS service has a diverse audience and addresses a broad range of issues, the email service for CAHRS partners will be adapted and customized to focus on content relevant to practicing human resource executives and will be available monthly.

CAHRS Top 10 IWS News Service

Every month, in collaboration with the Institute of Workplace Studies (IWS), CAHRS identifies the "Top 10" news items from the IWS News Service covering key workplace issues of interest to CAHRS partners. The monthly update provides a summary of each topic with a link to the original sources.

...and on the Ground

CAHRS Executive Roundtables

Recruiting is often a "first movers" game these days. While this annual event is not a recruiting fair, it does provide mutual benefits to both partners and incoming students. It offers graduate students in human resources and selected undergraduate seniors an opportunity to talk with top human resource executives about their careers, the future of human resources, and the skills they need to develop during their time at Cornell. It offers your company high level visibility very early in a student's program at ILR.  Learn more.

Partner Meetings

CAHRS holds two annual partner meetings, one domestic and one international, devoted to groundbreaking research and best practice applications. Meetings are one to two days in length, and attendance is restricted to partner companies.

Executive Guest Lectures

ILR offers several human resource courses designed by the faculty to include CAHRS partners. CAHRS serves as a broker, matching speakers to classes, and helping partners to get the most out of their classroom appearances by working closely with faculty to link topics to the educational objectives.  Learn more.

Corporate Executive Briefings

One-day partner executive briefings are conducted annually showcasing the CAHRS partner company's human resource policies and procedures. These briefings are designed for human resource specialists, and provide opportunities to discuss current research in an informal atmosphere.

Executive Development

Cornell ILR Executive Education translates the research of our world-class faculty into strategic human resource practitioner training. CAHRS partners receive a 10% discount on fees for customized human resource development programs, learning consortiums, and open-enrollment courses.

Research Working Groups

CAHRS Research Working Groups are a collaboration between industry leaders and academic experts. Each one focuses on a specific topic, and meets several times each year. There is no cost for partner firms to participate in the working groups.

Connections with Students

CAHRS facilitates connections between partners and students through a wide range of activities, including classroom lectures, field projects, on-campus meetings, recruitment sessions, executive roundtables, graduate research assistantships, and directed study projects.

hrSpectrum Newsletter

hrSpectrum is a bi-monthly publication providing CAHRS partners with information about noteworthy partnership accomplishments and CAHRS firms; innovations capitalizing on the CAHRS relationship; and the latest developments in research, teaching, and employment. Freely available to the public online, CAHRS partners also receive a hard copy of each issue.
