Bell Named New Director of CAHRS Executive Education

In January 2009, Bradford S. Bell, associate professor of human resource studies, joined the CAHRS team as Director of Executive Education. Bell came from Michigan State University to the Cornell ILR School in 2002. Since then, he has spent the past six years as prolific teacher and researcher, culminating in achieving tenure in 2008 and receiving the first Early Career Achievement Award given by the Academy of Management's Human Resources Division.

Brad Bell, Ph.D.Bell's research interests include strategic talent management, employee learning and development, and team development and performance. His broad areas of expertise encompass staffing and selection, training and development, and work teams/work process redesign. In addition to his academic credentials, Bell has worked as an HR consultant for multiple private and public firms, developing and evaluating training and performance appraisal systems, facilitating the strategic planning process, and leading organizational change.
