Recap & Photos: Record Number of ILR Students at 12th Annual CAHRS Executive Roundtables

On August 25, 2009, over 90 new and returning ILR graduate students and undergraduate seniors attended the 12th annual CAHRS ILR Orientation and Executive Roundtables. Students networked with eighteen senior HR executives from CAHRS partner companies, ten of which were chief HR officers (CHRO).

The day-long event begins with a special CHRO-only session, then moves onto the roundtables and informal reception afterwards. The reception also provides students a chance to submit their resumes to participating companies.

Since 1997, CAHRS has involved partner companies in the annual fall ILR graduate orientation. The Executive Roundtables is not a recruiting fair, but is meant to provide students and executives a unique opportunity to exchange questions and ideas about the field of HR, the most important issues facing individual companies, the skills needed by future HR professionals, and what companies look for in recruiting entry-level professionals.
