Paul Salvatore, '81

Paul Salvatore '81 is a labor and employment law partner at Proskauer Rose, representing employers in employment law and litigation, as well as union/management relations and collective bargaining. His clients include Citigroup, MBIA Insurance Corp., The New York Stock Exchange, The New York Times Company, The Reality Advisory Board on Labor Relations, and Polo Ralph Lauren.
An active speaker and writer on labor and employment law issues, Paul writes a column for Human Resource Executive Magazine and frequently serves as a speaker for SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management), as well as serving as a co-chair of SHRM's National Employee and Labor Relations Committee. He is the immediate past president of the ILR Alumni Association, and serves on the ILR Advisory Council and the University Council. Paul co-chairs ILR's Fund for Faculty Excellence, and is ILR's representative on the Cornell Alumni Trustee Nominations Committee. In 1999, he and his cousin, ILR and American Studies Professor Nick Salvatore, established the Salvatore Family Prize in American History for a graduating ILR senior who has excelled in American History.
Paul graduated from ILR (with honors) and the Cornell Law School '84. Paul and his wife, Pamela, and their two children, Colette and Luke, live in Bedford, New York.
