Harold Levy ‘74, ILR’s Alpern Award Recipient for 2001, is responsible for the nation’s largest school system, with 1.1 million students. A corporate attorney, he came to NYC’s public schools from Citigroup, Inc., where he was Director of Global Compliance. Harold’s recognition as the Alpern Award recipient is for distinguished contributions outside the field and to the School.
